And what about his Number One Dime, the first coin Scrooge earned in his hometown of Glasgow? It is another wonderful idea that reveals his character and the way he thinks.
Miserly, possessive and obsessed with hoarding, yet strangely likeable and human: Scrooge values having more than being, and finds happiness only for a few moments among his coins. Perhaps that is why we love him: even Duckburg’s fantastillionaire cries and suffers just as we do.
